CTV Your Morning interviews Beth Wanner of Mother Cover
Beth Wanner, founder and CEO of Mother Cover, interviewed by Kelsey McEwen on CTV Your Morning.
I recently had the chance to speak with CTV Your Morning about the journey that led me to founding Mother Cover—and why this work feels so personal.
I opened up about my 15-year career as a marketing executive in tech, and how my experience with infertility, IVF, and ultimately pregnancy was shadowed by fear and workplace stigma. After being laid off early in my pregnancy and then having my next position terminated at eight months pregnant, I realized how vulnerable even the most capable women can be during this life transition.
When I shared that story publicly, I heard from hundreds of women who had faced similar experiences. That’s when I knew something had to change.
I founded Mother Cover to provide exactly the kind of support I wish I’d had: skilled interim talent that steps in while a parent is on leave—executing their strategy, protecting their role, alleviating stress, and ensuring they return to a career that’s still thriving.
Our goal is to support not just mothers, but any individual navigating leave—while helping companies maintain continuity with confidence. It’s a solution that works for both sides, and one I believe is long overdue.
Thank you to CTV Your Morning for helping us shine a light on this much-needed shift.
